Covered California 12/15/15 Deadline for 01/01/16 Effective date!

Greetings, As you make your way through the upcoming holidays season, it is important to take the time and remember to review, secure, renew or change your healthcare plan for 2016. Yes, the hour has arrived to choose your individual health insurance plan and there are a few upcoming important deadlines.If changes need to be made, please let us know as soon as possible.It is important to have a conversation with your personal physicians to see which insurance carrier they will be in network for the upcoming 2016. There will be no extensions to the upcoming 12/15 Enrollment Deadline! Renewals completed between the 16th of December and the 15th of January will have a February 1 coverage start date and those completed from the 16th through the 31st of January will have a March 1 coverage start date.Please make sure that your application is complete and accurate and all necessary updates are uploaded to the system. The following are the upcoming deadlines for 2016: 

December 1 – 15, 2015 January 1, 2016*December 16, 2015 – January 15, 2016 - February 1, 2016*January 16 – 31, 2016* March 1, 2016*   

After the close of Open Enrollment on January 31, 2016, you will need to experience a Qualifying Event in order to apply for coverage through the Individual Marketplace, private or under Covered CA. During this time of great change in our healthcare system, we are here to help and support you!  Have a wonderful week.
