June 2023 Healthcare Trends & Happy 4th 🎆

June 2023 Healthcare Trends & Happy 4th 🎆

I am writing to you from Tel Aviv, where I am here with my family, some friends, and my children; celebrating some summertime moments: Father's Day, New Moon in Gemini, Summer Solctise, Juneteenth, International Yoga Day, and my birthday. Visiting Israel and getting a deeper dive into the Israeli healthcare system has always been eye-opening for me. Many of our clients are Hebrew speaking, and on many occasions, we are dealing with all of whom are extraordinary fathers. I hope they had a special happy Father's Day. I'm also remembering and honoring my father, who is up in heaven looking down on us. A man that never thought that health, healing, and wellness had to do with longevity and long life.

That alone taught me so much about the wholeness of healthcare, the potential of healing, and prolonging our life journey. So June is also celebrated as National Men's Health Month and National Safety Month in the United States. So together with healthcare professionals, health organizations, and government agencies, let's help the campaign to raise awareness about men's health issues and the importance of safety at home, work, and on the road.

In conclusion, the month of June has several notable characteristics related to healthcare, including men's health, safety, Alzheimer's and brain awareness, cancer survivorship, and health awareness campaigns, which aim to educate and promote better health outcomes for individuals and communities.

Imagine a world where the complexity of healthcare insurance is drowned by an interconnected ecosystem, making it affordable but also accessible and transparent but making us all happy and vibrant. I am working towards finding the best solution, and on this way to happiness, I will need your support and experience. So this end of the month, the beginning of summer, and just before a happy 4th of July,  let's make that vision a reality.

May you experience a summer full of Sun, and may happiness and health will always shine upon us,

The House Passes Bill to Ease ACA Employer Reporting Process

This bill modifies provisions under the Patient Protection and Affordable Care Act that require employers to prepare tax forms showing proof of minimum essential coverage (1095-B and 1095-C tax forms). This is some excellent news as it not only made the process of providing group employees benefits range difficult, it cost employers so much to process and submit; any improvement can be helpful -

A tribute to our beloved Elayne Serrano

June 04 was National Cancer Survivor's Day, and we would like to remember our beloved Elayne, who passed away last August due to complications of cancer and a low immune system. She is always in our hearts, and we think about her daily.

We hope that all people going through this find the strength to fight on and can heal, and for those of you who have won it, you are the true superheroes!

Virtual First

As we envision the future of health and well-being, Anthem has launched Virtual First, a simple, powerful, whole‑health approach to better care in California. This new option prioritizes virtual care for greater convenience and lower costs and helps us become better-informed healthcare consumers.

Here are some of the features of Virtual First:

A digital-first care experience through the award-winning Sydney℠ Health app.

High-value curated networks at a higher discount than PPOs.

Integration between virtual care and in-person care providers through Health OS.

15–20% new and true cost savings compared to traditional health plans — but without the group access restrictions of other lower-cost models.

National Insurance Awareness Day

On June 28 it is National Insurance Awareness Day. This day is dedicated to the importance of insurance coverage. It serves as a reminder to be grateful to our insurance policies regardless of whether we are using them or not. If we are not using it – we are fortunate. It is a great reminder to take advantage of your 0 co-pay for the annual general check-up, Women's wellness exam, and Colonoscopy.

PTSD Awareness Month

June is PTSD Awareness Month, and it gives us all an opportunity to learn more about PTSD, so we reduce the stigma surrounding it, and so we can also support our loved ones who may be struggling with PTSD so they can seek the help they require. Awareness is the #1 step towards understanding and studying how traumatic events can be.

Father's Day

Another reason to celebrate this month – for all the incredible dads that support their families and loved ones – keep up as the masculine energy adds security and love to our lives.

International Yoga Day

On June 21, we celebrated International Yoga Day; a day dedicated to reminding us how implementing yoga in our daily routine can help bring about a positive and healthy impact on our health & lifestyle.
