OSCAR will no longer offer coverage in 2024!

Greetings for a great Friday,This is a super sad e-mail for me to share with you all: an unfortunate situation for the history of California's Health Insurance coverage.

Our team did believe in their mission and approach to care – we supported them in any possible way once they entered the California market. But… we need to get ready!Get ready – Your policy won’t renew - cancellation effective date: December 31st, 2023!

After careful consideration, Oscar has decided to withdraw from the California service areas for Plan Year 2024.

I know this was a difficult decision for them to make – super sad -

Oscar will continue providing coverage for services through the end of the calendar year. We will work closely with you to ensure the continuation of coverage and solutions for all.

For this transition to go smoothly, every insured must look into the best solution for the upcoming Open Enrollment 2024.:

Some of the potential options:

• Covered CA – or Private -  Blue Shield PPO, HMO, Anthem BC HMO, Kaiser Permanente, Health Net, Molina, L.A. Care

• Employer Options / Self-Employed and Employees Benefits  

We have several options and solutions in mind, and you can contact our team for further evaluation –

Oscar stated that they plan to re-enter the market with a differentiated product offering. In the meantime, they are fully committed to ensuring that their members find coverage that meets their needs and look forward to partnering with you all in the future.

Please note: This decision does not impact our California Cigna + Oscar Small Group business.
