'Tis the season! In addition to the upcoming holidays, Medicare Open Enrollment season is upon us! Our team of Medicare professionals and will help you review your current Medicare plan in order to make necessary decisions. NOW IS THE TIME!
Open enrollment is the only time you can make changes to your Medicare Advantage Plan and Part D Plan, which runs Oct. 15th-Dec. 7th for January 1st. 2021 effective date. During this time you can elect to revert to your original Medicare, or change your Part D medication plan for a January 1st, 2021 effective date.
Remember, Medicare Part A&B helps pay for hospital care outpatients and doctor visits, but it doesn鈥檛 cover everything. Medicare Part A&B does not pay for prescription drugs, routine dental, acupuncture, long-term care, travel, etc. Our team can help you navigate which Medicare options will work best for you and provide more coverage, such as Medicare Advantage Part C, Part D (prescription drug coverage), and Medicare supplement. If you didn鈥檛 yet give us your current list of medications. Please send it to us, we are happy to offer a no cost analysis of your prescription drug needs and recommend the best plan for you for the upcoming year 2021!
Medicare Supplement Underwriting Holiday - Happening NOW

This offer is for you to change plans with NO UNDERWRITING needed!
We are excited to announce that an offer that allows you to enroll in ANY available Blue Shield of California Medicare Supplement Plan without answering any health questions or obtaining underwriting approval.
Medicare Supplement and Medicare Advantage2 Plan members from Blue Shield or other carriers switching to a Blue Shield Medicare Supplement plan are eligible to apply.
Applications must be received November 2, 2020 at 12 a.m. through February 28, 2021 at 11:59 p.m. with effective dates of December 1, 2020 through April 1, 2021.
路 Please note per law, Plan F Extra is only available to applicants who attained age 65 before January 1, 2020, or who first became eligible for Medicare benefits due to disability before January 1, 2020.
路 Medicare Advantage plan members may enroll into a Blue Shield of California Medicare Supplement plan without underwriting review during the Annual Election Period (AEP) through December 7, 2020. Additionally, due to the Medicare Advantage Open Enrollment Period (OEP), Medicare Advantage plan members may switch to a Blue Shield of California Medicare Supplement Plan from January 1, 2021 through February 28, 2021 without underwriting review.

Taking Care of You
Especially during this pandemic, taking care of your health means more than getting your regular checkups. Connecting with others is essential for our mental health, as is movement and exercise. The LA County Department of Public Health has a wonderful resource guide for Seniors, including chat lines and low-impact exercise video programs.
Spending a few minutes each day in meditation helps sharpen and focus the mind. We really like the free app "Insight Timer" which has many guided meditations, calming music, mindfulness courses and more.
